MISANO – Excellent performance for the Capua native driver at Misano. With the sixth place in Race 1 and the seventh place in Race 2, Festante managed to get ahead in the standings, proving to be one of the possible contenders for the podium in the last round of the Porsche Carrera Cup.
From the 4th to the 6th of October the penultimate round of the Porsche Carrera Cup was held on the legendary Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. A formidable competition for Festante, which had not been running on the famous Romagna circuit for about three years and, above all, never aboard a Porsche Carrera. The young driver from Capua, however, managed to amaze us with a performance superior to the previous in Vallelunga. In Race 1, Aldo managed to conquer the sixth place, an excellent result, showing the continuous improvement of Festante in a completely new championship. Race 2, on the other hand, saw AL51 fighting for victory, battling with the other protagonists of the Porsche Carrera Cup, in a competition full of twists and lots of adrenaline. Unfortunately due to a brawl with the other cars, Festante moved back to seventh place, a position in which he ended the race. The balance of the weekend is more than positive, being able to see the clear improvement of Aldo’s skills, who does not expect anything other than the last round of the championship to push his Porsche to the maximum and win a great result. “All in all it was a positive weekend, I hadn’t driven in Misano for nearly three years and I fought for the win in race 2, then a couple episodes almost got me out of the game but I’m confident with the hard work me and the team are doing.”
